On Wednesday 21 October 2020 it’s Apple Day. The team at Our Orchard are celebrating their young dedication of apple trees from various traditional and heritage stock, which are located at Our Orchard – Ein Berllan, Llandough Hospital. They have produced some lovely little apples this year…

Apple Day, which is an annual event, celebrates apples and orchards, their diversity and importance within our environment.
Celebrate Apple Day yourselves; try creating the longest apple peel, practice your apple bobbing, share apple recipes with friends and family or try new ones … Or plant your own apple tree; Welsh apple varieties include Brith Mawr, Monmouth Green and Talgarth,
And there are other autumnal seasonal goodies you can still spot and harvest hawthorn berries, rosehips, sloes, blackberries, and crab apples.

Our Orchard – Ein Berllan site helps provide vital habitats for many birds, bees and insects, as well as a green space for visitors, patients, staff and the community. Find out more and support us at; https://ourorchard.wales/
